Pick the tables your class is on and spin: the wheel chooses the question, and with your class saved it chooses who answers.

Maths practice the whole class can join in

The times tables wheel turns number facts into a class game. Tick the tables your students are working on, from a single table to all twelve, and choose multiplication, division or both. Every spin lands on a question. Save your class list and the wheel also chooses who answers, so everyone has a go; run a knockout on Friday afternoon, and the report shows which facts need more practice.

How to play

  1. Tick the times tables you want, and choose up to 10 or up to 12.
  2. Choose multiply, divide or both, and whether the wheel shows whole facts or just the numbers.
  3. Add your class and pick a game style, or leave it on the whole room answering.
  4. Spin, read out the question, show the answer and mark it right or wrong.
  5. End the game to see who did best and which facts were missed most.

Ways to use the times tables wheel

  • A two-minute warm-up at the start of every maths lesson.
  • One table a week: just the 7s, then mix them in with the others the week after.
  • Division practice once the multiplication facts are solid.
  • A Friday knockout final, with the winner on the board.
  • The most-missed facts from the report as next week’s focus.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the wheel use more than one times table?

The wheel can mix any tables from 1 to 12. Tick the ones you want, from a single table to all of them, and choose whether the facts go up to 10 or up to 12.

What is the difference between facts and numbers on the wheel?

With facts, every slice is a whole fact such as 7 × 8. With numbers, the slices are 1 to 10 (or 12), and landing on a number asks one of your chosen tables times that number.

Can students practise division too?

Choose divide or both. Division facts are the times tables in reverse, such as 56 ÷ 7 = 8, so they use the same tables you picked.

How does playing with a class work?

Save your class list once and the wheel picks who answers each question. Everyone has a go before anyone answers twice, or play knockout or points. Names stay in your browser and are never uploaded.

Is the times tables wheel free?

The times tables wheel is free to use, with saved classes, every game style and the reports included. There is nothing to install and no account to create.
